As Founder & CEO of Ipanema Advisors, Dustin leverages over two decades of experience in international entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and social sector leadership.
Previous to Ipanema Advisors, Dustin was on the founding team and Partner at Grupo Carnaúba, a commercial real estate group developing an international tourist destination in northeastern Brazil. His leadership as Founder & Chairman of Modal Living introduced modular housing solutions to address affordable housing in the U.S. At Summit Powder Mountain, Dustin contributed to the development of America’s largest ski resort consisting of more than 10,000 acres of private land.
A committed advocate for positive change, Dustin founded Impact Hub Salt Lake and Veterans Stand United, alongside his role as Board Member and Vice President of Warrior Rising, a business accelerator for military veterans. Dustin's academic background includes an MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio Graduate School, with further studies in Finance, Economics, executive education at MIT in Real Estate Investment & Analysis, and Cyber Security Engineering from CodeFellows.
A former U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officer with combat service in Iraq and a fellow at The Global Good Fund, Dustin's discipline and strategic insight underpin his approach to consulting U.S. companies on entering the dynamic Brazilian market. Dustin is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and splits his time between Brazil and Utah.
